A bell schedule is a named list of periods with start and end times, plus the days the school runs. Your Class timetable is built on top of it. You can keep several schedules, for example Primary, Senior or Ramadan, and point each class at the one it follows. One schedule is the school default, used by classes that have none of their own.

What you see on this page

  • Summary cards: Schedules, Lesson periods and Classes.
  • One panel per schedule, with its name, a Default tag, the school days (Mon to Sun, highlighted when on) and how many classes follow it.
  • A table of periods: #, Period, Starts, Ends and Type (Lesson or Break).
  • Buttons in each schedule header: Add period, Generate day, Assign classes, Edit and Delete.

Start from nothing

  1. If the page says No bell schedule yet, press Set up bell schedule.
  2. Press Add schedule. It is built from your current lessons when you have any, otherwise as a standard 8-period day.
  3. Afterwards rename it, change the days and adjust each period.

Add a schedule

  1. Press Add schedule at the top right.
  2. Type a Name (up to 50 characters).
  3. Tick the School days.
  4. Leave Lay out the day automatically ticked to fill in the periods for you. Set the First bell, Lessons per day, Minutes per lesson and Changeover (min).
  5. Set up to two breaks: after which lesson, how long, and the name. A length of 0 skips that break.
  6. Press Add schedule.

Add or change one period

  1. Press Add period, or the edit button on a period row.
  2. Set the Number, Name, Starts and Ends.
  3. Tick This is a break if no lesson can be placed in it.
  4. When editing, leave Move lessons already placed in this period to the new time ticked to carry placed lessons along. The new time is checked for teacher and room clashes.
  5. Press Save period.

Re-lay out a whole day

  1. Press Generate day on the schedule.
  2. Fill in the first bell, number of lessons, lesson length, changeover and breaks.
  3. Press Generate. This replaces every period of that schedule.

Choose which classes follow a schedule

  1. Press Assign classes on the schedule.
  2. Tick the classes that should follow it.
  3. Press Save classes.
