Subjects

Keep the list of subjects, give each a colour, and say which grades study it.

Subjects are used everywhere: the timetable, homework, the gradebook and exams. Each subject has a colour, so it is easy to recognise across the app. The subject's grades and periods per week also tell the timetable builder what to offer for each class.

What you see on this page

  • Summary cards: Subjects, Mapped to grades and Linked courses.
  • A status bar showing Active and Inactive subjects.
  • The table: Subject (with its colour dot), Grades, Courses and Status.
  • Row buttons: Grades & periods per week, Edit and Delete.

Add a subject

  1. Press Add subject.
  2. Type the Subject name (up to 60 characters).
  3. Pick a Colour.
  4. Press Add subject.

Say which grades study a subject

  1. Press the link button (Grades & periods per week) on the subject row.
  2. Tick each grade that studies the subject.
  3. Next to each ticked grade, enter how many periods a week it gets (1 to 20). You can leave it empty.
  4. Press Save.

Edit or retire a subject

  1. Press the edit button on the row.
  2. Change the name or colour, or set the Status to Inactive.
  3. Save your changes.
