The timetable builder shows one class's week as a grid: days across, periods down. Click a cell to put a lesson in it. The builder will not let a teacher or a room be in two places at the same time, so you can build every class without double-booking anyone.

What you see on this page

  • A class picker at the top. The class you chose is remembered when you move between pages.
  • Bell times, Teacher-wise view and Clear all lessons buttons above the grid.
  • Copy a day, and a hint: click a cell to add a lesson, drag a lesson to move or swap it.
  • A row of subject pills showing periods placed for each subject, for example 3/5 when a target is set. A number turns highlighted when you reach the target and warns when you go over it.
  • The grid itself. Break periods span the whole row. Empty cells show a plus sign. Hover a lesson to see its teacher, co-teachers and room.
  • On a phone, day tabs let you look at one day at a time.

Add a lesson

  1. Pick the class at the top.
  2. Click an empty cell. The Add a lesson window opens, titled with the day, time and class.
  3. Choose the Subject. The teacher who usually teaches it, and who is free at that time, is picked for you.
  4. Check or change the Teacher. Teachers who are busy then are greyed out with where they are busy. Under Someone else you can pick any other teacher.
  5. Optionally use Also on to repeat the lesson in the same period on other days. A day shows replaces if there is already a lesson there.
  6. Optionally open Co-teacher, room or note to add co-teachers, a Room and a Note such as Lab or Test.
  7. Press Add lesson.

Edit, move or clear a lesson

  1. Click a lesson to change it, then press Save.
  2. To clear it, open the lesson and press Clear lesson, then confirm.
  3. To move a lesson, drag it to another cell. Dropping on a filled cell swaps the two lessons.

Copy a day

  1. Press Copy a day.
  2. Choose Copy from, then tick each day under Copy to.
  3. Press Copy lessons. Lessons that would clash with a teacher or room are skipped and listed.

The clash rule

  • A teacher cannot be in two lessons whose times overlap on the same day, anywhere in the school.
  • A room cannot be used by two lessons at overlapping times.
  • Lessons next to each other do not clash: a lesson ending at 08:45 and another starting at 08:45 are fine.
  • Co-teachers count too. They are blocked elsewhere at that time, just like the lead teacher.

Co-teachers

  • Open Co-teacher, room or note and tick the other teachers who share the lesson.
  • You must choose a lead teacher before adding co-teachers.
  • The lead teacher cannot also be a co-teacher.
  • The lesson shows on every teacher's own timetable, marked as co-teaching.
