Discounts & scholarships

Create discounts for students, as a percentage or a fixed amount.

A concession is a discount or scholarship. A discount made here for a student is taken off their next monthly bill when you generate bills. To discount one bill that already exists, use Apply a concession inside the bill on Fee bills.

The Discounts & scholarships page in the Fees area, as a school admin sees it: create discounts for students, as a percentage or a fixed amount.

Columns

Name and Student.
Type: Percent or Fixed amount.
Value: the percentage or the amount.
Reason.
Applied: shown instead of the edit and delete icons once a discount has been used on a bill. It is kept as the record and cannot be changed.

Add a concession

Select Add concession. Only people who manage fees see it.
Enter a Name, for example Sibling discount.
Choose the Type: Percentage (maximum 100) or Fixed amount.
Enter the value.
Pick a Student, or leave it blank for a general concession.
Add an optional Reason, then select Add concession.
