About LMS

What LMS is for, who uses it and how the pages fit together.

1 min readLMSFor: School admin, Teacher

LMS is where learning is shared with a class. Each class has its own space with updates, homework and quizzes, study materials and online classes. School admins see every class here. Marks and exams, from entering marks to report cards and exam schedules, live here too. Teachers see the same tools under Teaching, where the pages are called My classes and Homework, and they work only with their own classes. Students and parents see the parts that concern them in their own areas.

The usual order of work

  1. Open Classes and choose a class.
  2. Post an update on the Updates tab to tell the class what is happening.
  3. Add homework or a quiz on the Classwork tab. For online homework, add the questions on the next screen.
  4. Share notes and slides on the Materials tab.
  5. Schedule live sessions on the Online tab.
  6. Come back to mark work that needs a teacher: essays, file uploads and open short answers.
