Classes
Open a class to see its updates, classwork, materials, online sessions and people in one place.
Open in InsplyThis page shows your classes as cards. Pick a class to open its space. A class space has one header and five tabs, and the class is part of the web address, so you can bookmark or share a tab. Teachers see this page as My classes under Teaching, with only the classes they teach.
What a class card shows
- A coloured tile with the class name. The colour comes from the grade, so a grade always looks the same.
- The grade, with a Homeroom badge on the class you are class teacher of.
- The class teacher, a stack of teacher pictures and a +N for the others. A class includes its class teacher and every teacher and co-teacher on its timetable.
- Three counts: students, due (work still open) and new (recent updates). They are coloured only when something needs attention.
- The next online class, when one is scheduled.
Finding a class
- With nine or more classes, a Search classes box appears. It matches the class, teacher and campus.
- With more than one campus, filter buttons appear: All campuses and one for each campus. Classes are grouped under a heading per campus.
The tabs inside a class
- Updates: posts to the class, newest first. The tab shows how many are new.
- Classwork: homework and quizzes for this class, with due tags. The tab shows how many are open.
- Materials: notes, slides and links shared with the class.
- Online: live sessions for the class.
- People: the class teachers and every student. Only staff see this tab.
