Reset someone's password

Give a person a new temporary password.

Use this when someone forgot their password.

The Users & logins page in the Setup area, as a school admin sees it: everyone who can sign in to your school, with their role and campus.

Steps

Open Setup → Users & logins.
Find the person.
Select the key icon on their row.
Type a New temporary password of at least 8 letters or numbers.
Select the save button.
Tell the person the new password.

Common questions

I cannot reset my own password here.

Open your name in the top bar, then choose My profile.

The reset is refused.

The person also belongs to another school. Their password is not yours to change.
