Import from a file
Add many students or teachers at once from a spreadsheet saved as CSV.
Open in InsplyInstead of adding people one by one, fill in a template and upload it. Nothing is saved until you check the preview and confirm. You need the permission to add people, and the import runs inside a school.
What you see on this page
- Two cards: Students and Teachers. Each has Download template, Choose CSV file, and a summary after you pick a file.
- A Branch for rows without a branch column selector on the Students card when you have more than one campus.
- A How it works box with the three steps.
Import a file
- Click Download template on the Students or Teachers card and open it in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Fill in one row per person and keep the header row.
- Save it as CSV (File → Save as → CSV). The file can have up to 1,000 rows.
- Click Choose CSV file and pick it. The app checks it and shows a preview.
- Read the summary: total rows, how many are ready, duplicates skipped and rows that need fixing. A table lists each skipped line and the reason.
- Click Import to save the ready rows. Use Choose a different file if you want to fix the file first.
