The gradebook shows one class, one subject and one exam at a time. You type the marks and the grade appears as you type. Nothing is visible to students or parents until the marks are approved.

What you see on this page

  • Class, Subject and Exam: the three pickers. The roster loads when all three are chosen. Teachers see only the classes they teach, and only the subjects they teach in that class (a class teacher can grade every subject in their own class).
  • A line showing the number of students and the maximum, for example "28 students · out of 100".
  • Submit for approval: sends the marks you typed. It is shown only to people who can enter results.
  • The table: Student, Roll No, Marks (with "/ max"), Grade and Status.

Enter and submit marks

  1. Open LMS → Enter marks.
  2. Choose the Class, Subject and Exam. The page opens on the most recent exam that has started.
  3. Type each student's Marks. Half marks such as 7.5 are allowed. The Grade column updates as you type.
  4. Leave a box empty for a student you have no mark for. Empty boxes are skipped.
  5. Select Submit for approval. A message says how many marks were submitted.

Status of each mark

  • Not graded: no mark has been entered yet.
  • Submitted: waiting for an approver.
  • Approved: final. The mark is locked for teachers and counts towards the student's result.
  • Rejected: an approver sent it back. Correct it and submit again.

Common questions

I do not see my class or subject.

Teachers only see classes and subjects they teach, through the timetable or as class teacher. Ask a school admin to check your assignment.

The marks box is greyed out.

Either you do not have permission to enter results, or the mark is already approved.

Can I save and finish later?

Marks are saved when you select Submit for approval, and they then count as submitted. To keep working, submit what you have and open the page again later. You can change a submitted mark until it is approved.
