Create an online assignment

Set homework that students answer in the portal, then mark it.

Use this when you want students to answer questions in Insply and have as much as possible marked for you.

  1. Open LMS → Classes (Teaching → My classes for teachers) and choose the class.
  2. Open the Classwork tab and press New assignment.
  3. Enter a Title, choose the Subject and a Due date. Leave How will students answer? as Online, in the portal. Press Create assignment.
  4. On the assignment, check the Details. Add Instructions if students need them.
  5. Under Questions, choose a question type, write the question, fill in its answers and set its Marks. Press Add question.
  6. Repeat for each question. Use Edit or Remove to adjust any of them.
  7. Check the total marks at the top of the Questions step.
  8. Tell the class about it: post an update on the Updates tab.
  9. After students hand in, open the assignment and scroll to Submissions. Enter marks for the questions that need you, add Feedback and press Save marks.
