Halaqat

Create and manage halaqat, each one an ustaad's group of students.

A halaqa is one ustaad's group of students. Create halaqat first, then enrol students into them. Only school admins can open this page.

What you see on this page

  • Name: the halaqa's name.
  • Ustaad: the teacher in charge, or Not assigned.
  • For: Boys, Girls or Mixed.
  • Room: where it meets.
  • Students: how many students are in it, and the capacity if one is set, for example 8 / 10. A Full tag shows when it has reached its capacity.
  • Row buttons: view the students in the halaqa, edit it, or archive it.

Add a halaqa

  1. Press Add halaqa.
  2. Type a Name (up to 80 characters).
  3. Pick the Ustaad (teacher), or leave Not assigned yet.
  4. Choose who it is For: Boys, Girls or Mixed (Mixed is the default).
  5. Optionally type a Room and a Capacity (1 to 500). Leave Capacity empty for no limit.
  6. Press Add halaqa.

Change or archive a halaqa

  1. Press the pencil on the halaqa's row, change the fields and press Save changes.
  2. To move a halaqa to another ustaad, change the Ustaad field.
  3. To retire one, press the archive button on its row and confirm Archive. Its students keep their records and can be moved to another halaqa.
