Notifications
The bell in the top bar shows what is new and what is waiting for you.
The bell collects things that need your attention. A dot on the bell means there is something new. Insply checks for updates every few minutes while the tab is open, and again when you come back to the tab.
Use the bell
- Press the bell. The list opens and shows Notifications, with how many are new.
- Press an item to go straight to the page it is about. The list closes.
- Press the bell again, press Esc, or click elsewhere to close the list.
What can appear
- Unread messages from your inbox.
- New notices and school news.
- Circulars and letters that need you to acknowledge them.
- Events coming up soon.
- For parents, students and teachers: whether a leave request was approved or not approved.
- For school admins: things waiting for a decision, and new applicants this week.
How new items are counted
- Opening the bell marks the items that were new as seen on this device.
- Some items stay until the work is done, such as unread messages, circulars to acknowledge and requests waiting for a decision.
- When there is nothing, the list says You are all caught up.
