Sign in and sign out

How to sign in, how to sign out, and what happens if your connection drops while you sign out.

Everyone uses the same sign-in page. You do not choose a portal. After you sign in, Insply takes you to the right place for your role.

Sign in

  1. Open the sign-in page. It says Welcome back.
  2. Type your Email.
  3. Type your Password. Press the eye icon to show or hide what you typed.
  4. Press Sign in. The button says Signing in… while it works.

If something goes wrong

  • Invalid email or password: check both. The message is the same for either mistake, to keep accounts private.
  • Caps Lock is on: a warning shows under the password box while Caps Lock is on.
  • Please confirm your email first: Insply has sent a new confirmation link. Open it, then sign in.
  • Too many sign-in attempts: wait a minute and try again.
  • Need access or forgot your password: ask your school admin. They can create your login or reset your password.

Sign out

  1. Press your name in the top bar.
  2. Press Sign out.

Sign out whenever you use a shared computer. Your light or dark choice is kept, but everything else Insply saved on the device is removed.

When the connection drops

  • If Insply cannot reach the server when you press Sign out, it still signs you out on this device straight away. It clears what it stored in the browser and covers the screen.
  • The screen then says Signed out on this device. It means your session has not been ended on the server yet, and Insply will finish signing you out as soon as you are back online.
  • It retries by itself every few seconds and when your internet returns. You can also press Try again now. When it works, you go to the sign-in page.
  • If you close the tab before that happens, Insply remembers it still owes a sign-out and finishes it the next time the app opens with a connection.
