Find anything with Ctrl+K
Jump to any page or start a task from one search box.
The search box opens from anywhere in Insply. Type a few letters of what you want, for example fees, attendance or timetable, and pick the result.
Use it
- Press Ctrl+K (on a Mac, Command+K) to open it. You can also press / when you are not typing in a field, or press Search anything in the top bar. On a phone, use the magnifier icon.
- Start typing. Results update as you type.
- Use the up and down arrow keys to move, then press Enter to open the highlighted result. You can also click a result.
- Press Esc to close it.
What it finds
- Quick actions: everyday jobs such as collecting a fee, marked with a lightning icon.
- Pages: every page you are allowed to open, with the module it lives in shown on the right.
- Extra words: pages are found by the words people use, so typing who owes finds the unpaid fees page.
- For school admins only: students, teachers and parents by name, and records such as fee bills, applicants, books, classes, exams, notices and events. Type at least 2 letters.
