Why can't I mark attendance for a day
Find out why the buttons are switched off on a date.
The page shows the reason in a message, and the buttons are switched off.
The reasons
- The date is in the future. Pick today or an earlier day.
- The day is not a working day, such as a Saturday. A school admin sets working days in Attendance rules.
- The day is a school holiday. A school admin can remove it in School holidays.
- You do not have permission to mark. You see the statuses as labels only.
Common questions
My school works on Saturday.
Ask a school admin to switch Sat on in Attendance → Attendance rules.
I can open the page but there are no buttons.
Your account can view attendance but not mark it. Ask a school admin.
