About Attendance
What the Attendance module is for, who uses it and the usual order of work.
Attendance is taken once a day for each class. Teachers mark their own classes. School admins can see every class, check that every register was taken, and set the rules that decide what counts as low attendance.
The usual order of work
- Once a year: add the school's holidays and check the attendance rules (working days and cut-offs).
- Every school day: each class teacher opens Mark attendance and saves the register.
- During the day: an admin opens Today at a glance to see which classes have not taken the register yet.
- At the end of a month: open Monthly register to review a class, or download a report from Reports.
The pages
- Mark attendance: take or correct one class's register for a day.
- Today at a glance: today's totals, classes that have not marked, repeat absentees and low attendance.
- Monthly register: one class for a whole month, student by day, with each student's percentage.
- Charts: attendance trend and status mix as pictures.
- Teacher attendance: the office's day sheet for teachers (check-ins, absences, leave).
- School holidays: the days the school is closed, so no register is expected.
- Attendance rules: working days, low and good attendance cut-offs, alerts and notifications.
- Reports: downloads for low attendance, consecutive absences and today's classes.
