School news

Read school news and announcements, or write and publish them.

School news is for stories and announcements, such as a sports win or a new building. It works exactly like the Noticeboard, with the same publishing steps. The difference is the look: a news item shows its title as a banner when it has no picture.

What you see on this page

  • Status pills (All, Published, Draft and so on) to filter the list.
  • An Add news button, if you can write news.
  • News cards, newest first, each with a News label, the author, audience, status, any picture or video, and the story.
  • Approve, Publish, Reject, edit and delete icons on each card, for school admins.

Add a news item

  1. Click Add news.
  2. Type a Title. It is optional but recommended, because it becomes the headline.
  3. Write the Message.
  4. Add Pictures, videos or a file if you like (up to 25 pictures and videos together, or one audio file, PDF or link).
  5. Choose the Audience, or leave all unticked for everyone.
  6. Click Save draft, Submit for approval, or (school admins) Schedule or Publish now.
