The Dashboard is the school admin's home page. Every number is worked out live, so it is always current. Everything follows the campus you have chosen in the top bar. If someone who is not a school admin opens this page, they are sent to their own home page instead.

What you see on this page

  • Academic session: the current academic year and term, and below it the session start and end dates. Click the year to open Academic years & terms.
  • Total grades: how many grades are running this year. Click it to open Grade & section names.
  • Total enrolled students: active enrolments. Click it to open the student list.
  • Fees collected: the share of billed fees that has been paid, with the amount still pending and a progress bar. It shows a dash and Nothing billed yet until you create fee bills. Click it to open the fees summary.
  • Attendance today: the share of marked students who are present, with a count such as 120 of 130 present. It shows Not marked yet until registers are taken. Click it to open Today at a glance.
  • Feed: the newest published notices, news and circulars, beside a Calendar and an Upcoming events list.
  • Students needing attention: students flagged automatically for low attendance or unpaid fees.
  • Checklist: the order to set up a new school in, at the bottom of the page.

A card is left out when you cannot open the module behind it, so a custom role may see fewer cards.

Read the feed

  1. Look at the Feed card. It lists the newest items first, with a label for the kind: Notice, News or Circular, who wrote it and when.
  2. Click one of the pills (All, Notices, News or Circulars) to show only that kind.
  3. Scroll inside the card. More items load by themselves as you reach the end, up to the most recent 200. You see You're all caught up when there is nothing more.
  4. Click an item to open the full page for it. The link at the bottom (Open noticeboard, All news or All circulars) opens the whole list.

Use the calendar

  1. Look at the month grid. Days with an event carry a dot.
  2. Click a day with a dot to open the Events page. Hover over it to see the event names.
  3. Use the arrows beside the month name to move to the previous or next month. Click Back to this month to return.
  4. Under the calendar, Upcoming events lists what is next. Click All events to open the full calendar.

Students needing attention shows up to five students, each with a link to their profile, their class and up to two flags (for example low attendance or overdue fees). Click View all students to see the full list. This card appears only if your role can open Users, Attendance and Fees, because it draws on all three. When nobody is flagged it says everyone is on track.

The Checklist lists nine setup steps: add a campus, create grades and sections, open classes, add subjects, set bell times, add teachers, enrol students, build the timetable and set up fees. Each step ticks off by itself once it has data. The next step has a button that takes you straight there. The card is open while steps remain and folds away once all are done. Click its title to open or close it.

Common questions

Why can I not see the Students needing attention card?

It needs permission to view Users, Attendance and Fees together. If your role is missing one of them, the card is hidden.

Why do the numbers change when I switch campus?

The dashboard follows the campus in the top bar. Choose all campuses to see the whole school.

A step on the checklist is not ticking. Why?

A step is done when its records exist, for example at least one class or one fee type. Add the record and refresh the page.
